This project applies adaptive sliding-mode control to virtual synchronous generators (VSGs) to improve microgrid frequency response and damping.

  • Converter-dominated microgrids lack physical inertia
  • VSGs emulate synchronous behavior but need robust control
  • Frequency excursions and oscillations persist under disturbances
